Should I Be Concerned As My Daughter Is Having Cough, Runny Nose And Temperature?

I have a daughter that is 3 years old, last night she woke her self up coughing but went back to bed just fine, this morning she woke up with a runny nose, a little cough, and her temp is 99.3 rectal.. We have vary close family friends that we spent the Super Bowl with they also have a 4 and 6 year old who had to go to the ER the next day. And they both had strep. I can t get a good look at the back of my daughters throat..

Hello. Thank you for your question. The symptoms you deacribe sound like a simple viral illness. However, she is early in the course amd this can change. Yes, strep is a possibility. But without a complaint of sore throat, it is less likely. If the fever goes aaabove 101f, or the symptoms worsen, or persist for more than another 2-3 days, I recommend consulting with your doctor.
