Should I Be Concerned Of White Sores On Lips Caused By Consumption Of Cephalexin?

My 9 year old son has been taking the antibiotic cephalexin. He had a little cut on his knee that got infected and that s what the dr prescribed. He started getting little white sores on the inside of his lip. He has had them for three days or so before I relized it was the medicine. I stopped the medicine until we see his doctor. I m wonder if I should rush him to urgent care or wait until Monday.

Sores inside the lip is not something to panick - you may wait till monday. In my opinion cefalexin is not known to cause sore inside the lip- so appearance of sore may be a chance factor that you might be associating with the medicine. However, you may switch your antibiotic after consulting your doctor.
I also advise you to apply antiseptic cream over the cut present at knee.
