Should I Be Worried About Pain In Head After Hitting It?

My daughter hit the swimming pool side at the camp while trying diving from the pool side. She complains that her top of head is quite painful now. I can see a little red area. The pain area is larger than the red area. She is in good spirit otherwise. Should I concern about it?

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

It is normal to have some bruising and local pain due to the damage to the soft tissue from the impact, it will regress gradually do not worry.
What is important in head trauma is not to have brain injury. Symptoms of brain injury are not local changes in that area but symptoms related to the disturbance of brain function. So symptoms to look at should be confusion, abnormal behavior, double vision, weakness or numbness of the limbs on one half of the body, seizures, headache increasing in intensity. Only if such symptoms appear is there reason for concern.

I hope to have been of help.
