Should I Be Worried About The Worms Found In Grandson's Stool?

hi Dr. Thank you. My daughter just showed me a cellphone picture of a small brown worm found in my grandson's diaper. He is 2 years old. She said the worm was moving. It appeared to be about 1/4 inch long. They have no pets, but he is in daycare. Concerned about worms in the stool.

Hi
Thank you for your query.

At this situation I would recommend to start treatment for you grandson.

You should consult your pediatrician to calculate the exact dose for your grandson.

Some of medications used for parasites and worms are albendazole, mebendazole, metronidazole etc.

Wishing your grandson health
