Should I Lower My Amlodipine Dosage For Swelling Of Legs?

I take 5mg of amlodipine each night and 20mg of micardis for blood pressure. I also take 5mg of pravochol at night. I take one anacin for my arthritis and it really helps a lot. I have noticed a little swelling in my lower legs and feet and I know that can be a side effect of amlodipine. My blood pressure is OK most of the time now but can go up to 140/70 sometimes. I am 76 and in good health and am active. I just don't like the mild swelling mostly in the evening. Should I lower the amlodipine back to 2.5mg? I have been on it for three years and had a knee replacement two years ago and the swelling started after the knee replacement.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, in my opinion the leg swelling of yours may not be due to the amlodipine that you are taking for hypertension, no need to change the weight of pill instead it is better to change the time of the dose, better to take this tab in the morning, hope this information helps you have nice day.
