Should I Meet Doctor For Shortness Of Breath Of A 5 Year Old?

my 5yr old has been having shortness of breath, and irregular breathing for the past couple weeks. It started after she got over a cold. She said she can't catch her breath all the time and needs to breath this way. should I take her in, or do I not need to worry about it?

Hello. I just read your question. There are several possible causes of shortness of breath. All can be treated. In some cases, however, persistent, untreated shortness of breath can worsen and become dangerous. I recommend consulting with your doctor so the correct diagnosis can be made and the appropriate treatment plan implemented.
