Should The White Skin Growth On The Big Toenail Be Removed?
Hi I had an injured nail bed from an injury about 15 years ago and when the nail (on the right big toe) came back it was dark and very deformed. The podiatrist removed the entire nail bed so it would not keep coming back.....since then I have been having some odd problems with me big toe..... 1st I developed a blood blister at the tip of that toe ( Dr. Said to put Neosporin on it and a bandaid) the blood blister is still there after more than a month. Now I have some moist white skin growing over the whole big toe nail area. What is happening? Should I go in to have the extra skin removed? Why did this happen? (I have diabetes and am now experiencing some neuropathy in my feet)
HI Well come to HCM If you are diabetic patient then you need to be very careful for the wound on your toe, in my opinion the white skin would be the dead skin, and some time it is being attached with the normal skin and this would not be removed, after the healing of wound this comes around, but the wound need to be taken intense care, hope this information helps.
