Slow Healing Of The Injured Foot, Feel Pain While Running. Is It Normal?

i fell down about close to half a year ago and injured my top part of the foot , to be specific, the part where it s facing the sky. i injured one of the foot earlier(same problem) and then i fell, causing the other foot to be injured as well, it s been so long and it hasn t healed yet, checked on it and doctor said i need to walk less which i didn t because im very active. Just want to know if it s normal for it to still feel the pain when running until now.

hello Daryl!
usually slow healing wounds are trouble when the person has some comorbid conditions. like diabetes or any other disease which compromises his immune system.. but feet and hands are comparatively slow healers as well compared to the other body parts like face etc.
so lets say if you dont have diaabetes or any other immunocompromised state like aids or some drugs like azathioprine or methotrexate or steroids or older than 35 years of age i will say all you need is a rest and some good podiatric care to your feet... for example raise your legs from your body level when ever you get time like sitting with feet over opposite chair , sleeping with a pillow under the legs, so when you will raise it giving it a rest will help it heal fast.
try to prevent infections by taking care of the wound... regular dressings and hygiene care would be enough. And you can use simple ovet the counter pain medications to relieve pain.. better use topical NSAIDs.
so nut shell. no diabetes no comorbidity you are good to go.. if some red alert then we need to worry a little as it will need some thing more than that but as you mentioned you run and stuff i believe you are a young man with out any metabolic disorder. next time when ever you mention your problem please dont forget to mention the basic things like age sex weight height any illness any past history any family history social aspects, surgical past history etc.. all these things help to answer better.. if you need further help i will be available you can email me or call me even 24/7

Have a good day
