Slow Urine Flow. Bladder Ultrasound Shows No Blockage, Normal Prostrate. Anxiety?
I am a 34 year old male and for a few weeks now my flow of urine has become weak and it is hard to start it flowing (hesitancy) I have had a bladder ultrasound and was told that there was no blockage and my prostate looked normal. What could be happening to me? This is starting to ruin my life. Could this be anxiety? Thanks.
Hello
Thanks for your query. You have slow urine flow and your ultrasound of bladder is normal.Do you history of unprotected sex or any UTI previously. This could be due to what is called ad Bladder Neck Incompitance. During normal micturition Bladder neck which is otherwise closed opens and bladder muscles contract initiating the micturition. But in this condition bladder neck does not open completely giving rise to hesitancy and weak flow. Please have a trail of Tab Tomsulosin 0.4 mg once in a day for 10 days.If the problem persists consult some Urologist who may do your cystoscopic examination .
