Small Child Having Hard Stools, Turning To Watery Stools, No Loss Of Appetite. Treatment?
hi, i have a four year old son (5 in nov), he generally has solid poos for about a week now he has had runny poos, he seems fine in himself running around, playing, etc, he is eating ok. wondering what could be causing this as he starts school next week and wouldnt like him to have any accidents if he dosent make it to the toilet in time thanks

Dear customer,
The runny poos seems to be due to the gastroenteritis and he should have the stool examination done after consulting a doctor/paediatrician.
The acute gastroenteritis may be caused by bacterial or viral cause and should be investigated and treated with suitable antibiotics.
Also he should take adequate fluid to prevent dehydration.
