Smashed Finger. Having Pain Below The Nail. Could This Be Splintering Of A Bone?

Today at work I smashed my ring finger on my right hand. I seem to have full movement with only pain under the finger nail where it's evident of bleeding under the nail about 1/8 size of the finger nail (that pressure sensation like any time you smash the tip of the finger).

My concern is along the left side of the finger just above the lower knuckle I have a very small bump, almost looks like a tiny blister (about 1/32" in circumference) but when pressure is put directly onto it a pain arises that feels like a splinter being pushed in but even still not as bad as getting a splinter in the skin, then when released nothing else.

Is this a possible splintering of a bone? I know I should go to the doctor and have an Xray but I am at a new job and health insurance has not kicked in just yet, highly worried about the bill I'll end up with.

i have studied your case

yes you should do Xray in routine OPD , no need to go at ER

For hair line fracture slab[splint ] for 3 weeks is sufficient

Take chymoral forte and calcium with vit D will reduce swelling and pain

Avoid activity ,give rest to hand
