Soreness In Front Of Ear, Low Grade Fever, Flu Like Headache, Suggestion Of TMJ. Right?

I have a soreness just in front of my left ear. It started about the same time I got a low-grade fever, and a flu-like headache . I went to my head/ neck surgeon, who looked in my ear canal and saw nothing but a slight reddening - no swelling of the ear canal. She suggested TMJ , which doesn t seem correct to me. It hurts to touch the tragus, or pull slightly on my ear lobe.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having otitis externa i.e. infection in your external ear.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course for 3-5 days and you will be alright.
Ok and take care.
