Stopped Taking Effexor, Seroquel, Methadone. Having Restoril To Help Withdrawal Process. How To Get Off Restoril?
I've been on a combination of effexor and seroquel for the past two years. I was also on methadone for the last two years and recently stopped taking it. To help with the withdrawal process, I started taking restoril. Now, it's been a few months and the methadone withdrawal isn't as bad, but I've become extremely depressed and have no energy. I want to stop taking the Restoril and was just wondering how to go about getting off of it, because if I don't take it everyday I become anxious and irritable and have some physical withdrawal symtoms as well.

Hello,
Restoril ( TEMAZEPAM ) is very highly addictive benzodiazipine and it's withdrawl symptoms are anxiety,depression,memory problems,physical problems etc.
A sudden or rapid witdrawl is avoided as it may lead to serious and lifethreatening mental and physical side effects including psychosis,seizures and suicidal tendencies.
The best way is to start reducing the drug by 10% every 4 weeks and keep on repeating the schedule.
It is definitely a time consuming process but you would definitely come out of it without facing much problem.
