Suffer From Hypothyroidism. Low TSH Levels After Childbirth. What Should Be The Thyronorm Dosage?

Hi doc....I am suffering with hypothyroidism since mine 3rd month of pregnancy..at that time my T3,T4 levels were normal and TSH level was 8.63 and started with 75mcg of thyronorm.... Now I am 3rd month post casrean and my TSH level is 0.08...... That is very low from normal..... Please sir suggest me whether I should start with same dose or less...?...also

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Hypothyroidism can be a very serious condition if untreated. It seems like you have been having it almost from child birth. I think the dosage of the thyronorm is being titrated according to your response to medication and you are on an appropriate dose of medication. I would recommend that you visit with your doctor regularly to have the medication titrated frequently.
