Suffered Hematoma After Metal Pole Hit Back Of Neck. Any Possibility Of Bleeding In Brain?
I fell and hit the fleshy part of the back of my neck just below the skull and to the right of the spine on a blunt metal pole causing a hemotama. I've experienced no neurological symptoms. It happened 72 hours ago. Am I in the clear as far as having bleeding on the brain?
Dear brain hemorrhagic lesions cause a lot of neurologic problems and the patient experience a lot of symptoms.72 hours is a long time and you are almost out of danger. You should be careful these first days and if headache or vomiting or nausea or ataxia is present you should do a head CT scan.Anyway most traumatic injuries present their symptoms first 48 hours. Wish you all the best don't hesitate to contact me
