Suffering From A Brain Stroke. What Are The Treatment Options?
A friend had a deep brain bleed stroke four years ago and has had a couple more since. His mind is fine but he is totally dependent on his wife. She has become a hoarder. They have no long term care insurance. Her 30 yr old daughter moved back in when this occurred but after four years would like to go back to school. What help is out there for the wife?
Brain stroke is a major cause of disability. As is evident from your description, your friend has suffered a major brain bleed with severe disability. This has made him totally dependent on his wife for all activities of daily living.
Your friend requires good physiotherapy and nursing care. This can be arranged at a rehabilitation center, as they would be required for a long time.
