Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is a year old and it s been 1 week since she s had a cold. Runny nose, coughing sometimes choking along with it, has no fever but gets really warm and sweat sometimes. The coughing comes and goes throughout the day especially when she s asleep at night or when taking a nap during the day and in the mornings. Sometimes when she coughs it s like she tries to grasp for air. And she does cough up mucous and it does be clear and thick. I took her to the children s doctor and her breathing was okay and she doesn t have an ear infection so everything was fine and the doctor told me to buy children liquid benadryl but it s like she still hasn t got over it, yet. What could it be and what should I do or give her.
