Suggest A Cure For Lichen Plants In Mouth With Constipation?

My husband is diagnosed with lichen plants in his mouth. Is there a cure for this? He also started to have constipation, then turned to diarrhea. He has been to many drs. who have not been able to help him with either. Could there be a connection? He is 73 yrs old and has lost 28 pounds in the last 3 yrs, the last 8# since January, 2014. He has always been strong and active. Now he has lost strength and stamina. Thanks for any help.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your husband having lichen planus, started with constipation then turned into diarrhea, had been to many Doctors, no help, He is 73 and lost 28 pounds in 3 years. Wants to know whether this is curable or not.
Lichen planus is sort of a immunological disturbance hence can be cured only if the immunology controls the disease which is difficult at the age of 73, although not impossible. He has to take immunity boosters.
Other medical treatment is also available although everything control the disease does not really cure it.
But the Lichen planus can not really reduce the weight at all as this is relatively benign.
Take multivitamins, particularly Vitamin A and D in therapeutic dosages after blood estimations.
Avoid too hot and too cold things.
Maintain good oral hygiene.
Consult your Doctors to know the reason of weight loss, there are other more important reasons for this.
