Suggest Alternate Treatment For Osteoarthritis

i am 24 years old and had an osteotomy on my left hip when i was 7 years old due to hip dysplasia, i am now in alot of pain and have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I am in severe pain most of the time and have trouble sleeping at night time. It also interfers with my children as the pain becomes unbearable and i cant run around and play with them like i should. I have been told by my doctor i am way to young for a hip replacement , are there any other options i could look at?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
cogenital dysplasia with secondary arthritis hip staged accoding to radiological findings . if the involvement only in femoral head you can try bisphosphanates ot core decompression or stem cell therapy. But both side of femur and acetabular involvement present think of replacement because one good primary hip replacement will give an effective and active 15 - 20 years of good hip this is your active young period don,t hesitate if its an advanced stage to plan for replacement but before the treatment plan have a discussion with your ortho for your lifestyle modifications after hip replacement
