General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a swollen lymph node. In most cases it is due to minor infections some where as in case of pharyngitis.Generally it will settle by itself. If lesion persists better to consult a pediatrician and get evaluated. If there is diagnostic confusion an ultrasound may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
