Suggest Diet For Inflamed Stomach Lining

I have been having diarrhea for some time now. I went to the doctor and they gave me medicine to stop the diarrhea cause it was getting really bad. It helped for a while then started up again. So I went to a different doctor and they said that I have an inflamed stomach lining and to have no spicy foods, milk, coffee, soda things like that. I eat then about 1 hour later im in the bathroom. What can I take for the diarrhea?

Hello,

Some advice that I can give to you for the diarrhea are:

- Take over-the-counter options include Imodium (Loperamide) and Pepto-Bismol or Kaopectate (bismuth subsalicylate).
- Take probiotic.
- Take frequent, small sips of water or a rehydration drink and small bites of salty crackers.
- Begin eating mild foods the next day or sooner, depending on how you feel.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
