Suggest Diet To Gain Weight

Dear Doc, I am 43 years old male. I was diagnosed with impaired glucose tolerance two years ago. Since then I have been maintaining tight control of my blood sugar and doing regular physical work. But while trying to control my sugar level I lost about 8 Kg weight (62 to 56, height 5' 6") and now I look too thin and sick. I take 1600 to 1800 calories per day, lot of water. How can I gain 5 to 6 Kg?

I DO NOT ADVISE TO GAIN WEIGHT..
I WILL ADVISE TO GAIN HEALTH.
AVOID ALCOHOL,SMOKING,JUNK FOOD,COFFEE,COLA.
TAKE FRESH FRUITS,DRIED FRUITS,PROTEINS,E.G; SOYA.
MAINTAIN BLOOD SUGAR AT LESS THAN 120 mg FASTING &LESS THAN 200 AFTER FOOD.
GET HbA1C EVERY 3 MONTHS (NORMAL LESS THAN 7 % )
CONTROL YOUR CHOLESTEROL LESS THAN 180.
