General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

From what you refer I can say that you suffer from a flu complication, more exactly, from a bronchopneumonia. Bronchopneumonia is a lung infection.

I recommend you:
1. Bed rest.
2. Eat warm liquid food.
3. Drink a lot of hot tea.
4. The room where you are resting should be warm and and the air should be humid.

The treatment that you are using in principle is correct.
But you should estimate the condition of the disease.
To do this you need:
1. Complete blood count.
2. Sputum culture.
3. Pulmonary X-ray.
4. Spirometry(lung function test).
5. Urine test.

Contact your pulmonologist. Basing on the results of the tests your doctor will determine if you need another treatment or no.

I hope this information is helpful.

I wish you a fast and healthy recovery.
Dr. Behar.
