Suggest Non Surgical Treatment For Osteoarthritis

Hi, My father is 65 and is suffering from Osteoarthritis. He is too scared to get operated so we tried few Ayurvedic treatments. He got some temporary relief back then but it has become very painful for him now. Is there any solution to this without being operated?

Hello,

As he is 65 and with Grade III osteoarthritis of the knee why don't you try the Physiotherapy? It will help reduce inflammation by using the therapeutic ultrasound therapy and pain by TENS therapy.

Exercise to improve the muscle strength and this has helped many to avoid surgery.

In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most cases have responded well to physiotherapy and guided exercise. No case is operated once the proper knee rehabilitation program is planned and implemented.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
