Suggest Precautions To Be Taken For Typhoid With Increased SGOT And SGPT

My son aged 4 yrs, 9 mths has increased levels of SGOT and SGPT in his liver analysis report. He is currently undergoing treatment for typhoid. What precautions should I take. His father is fond of alcohol and had an enlarged liver. Is there a link between the two cases like genetic condition, or some such thing?
