Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The swollen and sore arm after the flu shot can be due to the local trauma and it usually subsides in 3-5 days. You can do a cold compress in the area. Do not apply hydrocortisone ointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal,
