Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my daughter was stung (perhaps by a bee) yesterday in her finger. It felt like a hot knife at the time, she quickly removed the stinger. She has applied a topical analgesic, iced it, and taken benedryl. Its now 24 hours later and the finger is swollen (but not her hand or other fingers), and there are bruise-like purple areas at the finger joints - which I think recede a little with icing. Is there anything else she can do to relieve her discomfort? (There are no symptoms of infection or allergic reaction). thank you!
Hi... you have done all what can be done. Bruise like purple areas do not go with allergy. I suggest you upload the images at this website or seek your pediatrician's help as the skin condition s are best treated after visual examination. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
