Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 54 year old husband had a heart attack and two open heart surgeries @ 6 months ago. He is doing well medically, but throughout the day, and especially after meals, he has excessive belching/bowel discomfort/gas. His doctor does not seem concerned. I have altered his diet repeatedly but cannot find a common reason. Is there anything I can do to help him control this?
Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Avoid dairy products. If symptoms not improved, please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
