Suggest Remedy For Hiccups

Hi, I have had a persistent hiccup since Friday Oct 15. I did not want to go to the emergency room because I do not want to wait for 3-4 hrs and end up getting treated by a non-expert and end up getting frustrated further. Would you kindly please advise for an alternative? thank you.

Hello,

Hiccups may be due to diaphragmatic nerve or diaphragm irritation. Seen in hepatitis or cholecystitis or renal failure or respiratory failure etc.

Use tablet Baclofen twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved or developed an allergy to above drug please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
