my husband has cell b CLL and has a rash on his limbs and trunk of his body. It itches and burns. he is taking luekrin( probably spelled it wrong) chemo pill. We are looking for something to give him some relief so he can sleep at night. anything over the counter we can pick up.
As per your case history of itching and burning, my treatment advice is:
1. Do not scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a soothing lotion like Calamine lotion on the affected region twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harshit Bhachech
