i have a daughter of 20months,she suffered with fever for one day & then onwards she is not having any food properly, now fever is not there, but she is not having food, she points out to the mouth may be she has mouth ulcers, but it is not visible, please help & advice, she is not any medications for now.
Hello dear, First of all dont worry and be relaxed. I will provide you with my best possible advice. As you have mentioned that the baby had got fever for a day and now not having food and also she is pointing about her mouth and having mouth ulcers, It can be herpes stomatitis. It recovers without any treatment within 10 days. I am advising few things- • Avoid hot food and beverages • Give her plenty of fluids • Apply lidocaine or benzocaine gel(easily available in medical store) to the affected area 5 minutes before her meal • Give her more of water • And for pain you can give her Ibuprofen suspension(Ibugesic syrup) 1 tsp thrice a day after meals for 3 days. Most probably she will recover soon. Hope this will help you. Thank You Take Care
