Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For years I have had a dull aching pain in my right shoulder. I had surgery on that should for osteoarthritis. Since the surgery, I have had sever bouts with sudden nerve pain that would put me to my knees, along with the same aching pain in my shoulder accompanied by service skin numbness. My orthopedic surgeon had me do an MRI and an EMG. Today the EMG was fine until he stuck the needle in my back near my shoulder blade, this caused severe pain. Could this issue have been caused by the nerve block prior to surgery?
