Suggest Remedy For Pain Post Discestomy & Fusion

Hello & thank you for your time. I am in a very tough spot & need advice. I had Discestomy & fusion L4-L5-S1 with hardware & a cyst removed from leaked disc fluid June 2012. I have been in pain since. At the fusion site it hurts as if it s separating when I cough or sneeze. The pain is mostly on the right side of fusion site. Right leg has several symptoms through put the day depending on my activity. Symptoms are both sides of shin tingle, numbness, burning and tapping . Big toe feels like it s in a vice. Back of leg stabbing feeling right above back of knee and right below back of knee. Entire leg will feel burning inside. Heals go dead numb along with toes. Left leg does have some of same symptoms but mostly right leg. MRI shows post-op changes from 1/13 MRI -- Calcification right L4-L5 neural foramen causing mild to moderate stenosis Surgeon wants to take out hardware and do a revision. He does not see impingement or a free fragment. I have had the selective nerve blocks at each level, which did provided sweet short lived relief. Questions-Is it possible for the calcification to cause all these leg symptoms? Can calcification grow this fast (1/13 to 7/14)? Is this normal ? I am terrified to have another surgery. Recovery from fusion was so painful and I am so frustrated 2&1/2 years have gone by and I still am in pain. Surgeon is not the only doctor saying to have the revision and removal. I am 100% fused.

I have studied your case and reports.
These symptoms can get relieved by good revision surgery and proper post operative rehabilitation.
There can be peri implant instability which can be corrected by correct implant or bone graft.
Yes calcification can spread fast.
I hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us.
