Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have degenerative disks in my back from a Navy ship accident ,also i had to have a hip replacement resulting from the accident and have been told my pain is chronic. I ache day and night having to take sleeping medicine because of pain.I ve been on so many pain medicines, what can I do???
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.
According to your symptoms, in order to treat your chronic pain, you need to take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (only when the pain is severe), accompanied by Lyrica (pregabalin). These two medications will manage your pain really well and will bring an improvement in your performance in everyday life.
Anyway, you should contact your neurologist in order to determine the right diagnosis and treatment of your condition.
Ask me for anything unclear.
All the best, Dr. Behar.
