Suggest Remedy For Terribly Itchy Skin With No Help From Atarax, Prednisone And Cortisone Creams

i have terribly itchy skin all over with no rash for 7 weeks.. I took dilaudid for 3 1/2 months with a total knee replacement. I am near crazy with the itch, Dr, Gave me Atarax, Also had 6 days of prednisone.which took the itch off arms and legs.Have used 3 different cortisone creams to no use. Nights are the worst. Can t sleep Help[

Hello dear,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

I have read your query and understood your concern.

Itchy skin without any rash is commonly found in people with extensive dry skin.

You already have tried tab atarax and prednisolone.

I will advice you to get your some blood tests including Complete blood count, ESR, Liver function test, kidney function test, thyroid profile.

Till the time, you can take tablet Allegra in the morning and tablet levocetrizine in the night time.

Alongwith put a good amount of moisturizers on your body 2-3 times a day.
