HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.
Pulmonary TB is diagnosed based of Sputum reports , but many physicians with much experience diagnose TB looking at the X ray .
I need more information of your mother's problem .
1. Since how long she is having Chest Infection? 2. Is there any loss of weight ? 3. Is there any fever? 4. Any history of exposure to people having TB ? 5. What treatment was given to her for Pneumonia?
Kindly revert back with details asked along with the X rays so that I can help you better in making a diagnosis .
As of medication FORECOX is concerned it right treatment for TB .
Any doubts or clarifications feel free to ask , Happy to answer . Regards.
