Suggest Treatment For Anal Fissure

Hello Doctor, i am having a very minor anal fissure, which is absolutely external, visible in mirrors. It looks like slight cut like 4 mm length and 1 mm width. its now prevailing for close to 2 weeks, 50% feeling improvement but not healed. I have applied ANOVATE for last 2 weeks, could i continue? Is there any alternate treatment/cause for worry? wud there b any side effects due to this ointment? Please respond ASAP.

Hi,
You have been using steroid cream.
So now there is no need for applying it.

You can take dietary fiber and stool softener syrup like cremaffin syrup to help in fissure.

Usually it takes 6-8 weeks for healing of fissure.

Your symptoms seem to be related to anal fissure.

I recommend taking daily probiotics to avoid constipation.

I also recommend to drink liquids and eat fiber-rich diet.
