I have been diagnosed with autonomic epilepsy right temporo occipital lobe. Triggers are heat, exhaustion, tiredness, alcohol and intercourse. I feel like I am the only person in the world going through this. It has been going on for two years. I have severe nausea, rapid heart beat etc during seizures and after the aura they start during sleep most of the time and continue on and off all night. I am using Keppra but the seizures are not under control. I also have severe anemia and had Graves last year. Is there anything I can do?
HI Well come to HCM This may not be seizure but this could be hysteric attack and if I would be your doctor then I would treat this symptoms with the following drug. 1) Tab Lorazepam initially 1 mg at bed time, before initiating I would ask for certain test like EKG, X-ray chest, CT brain, if you found qualified for this then and then I would start Lorazepam, hope this helps.
