Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Blood In The Stool, Bruise On The Back And Internal Pain After Falling Down.
I fell straight down on butt a week ago, had been drinking a bit, and was violently sick the next day, far more than booze would have done. Threw up for almost 10 hrs. I have noticed blood in my stool since, and have a medium sized bruise on my back right up my spine, a good deal of internal pain as well. I have to to see a doctor but should I?
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.
Blood in stool is not caused by the fall, but from alcoholic drinks. Alcohol has aggravated digestive system condition, especially hemorrhoid condition.
You should contact your orthopedist and your gastroenterologist. The following tests are necessary: 1. Pelvic X-ray. 2. Abdominal ultrasound. 3. Fibroproctosigmoidoscopy. 4. Complete blood count. 5. Liver function test. 6. Urine test.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the best. Dr. Behar.
