Suggest Treatment For Bump With Bruising After Banged In Train.

Hi my daughter who is 2 and half years old got a bad bang to her forehead day before yeasterday while running on a train carraige as the train came to a stop she banged her head off the back edge of a seat which was hollow steel she came up in bump and slight bruising which went away few hours later she had no symptoms of head injury she got up after and walked and played in good form still should I have her checked or is she ok accident was 2 days ago?

Hello. Thank you for your question. The type of bruising you describe is very common after this type of an injury. That she didn't lose consciousness is the most important thing. The bruise, though it may not look nice, will resolve on it's own and look good as new. It is not something you should worry about. The next sign to watch for is vomiting within the first 24 hours after the injury. As ling as this doesn't happen, there is no cause for concern.
