Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

Hi, I was wondering if you can give me some answers
About a week and a half ago I donated blood. I drank plenty of water before donating so the blood can flow faster. On the same day and the day after I had diarrhea. It was because I drank so much water. After those two days have passed I stopped having diarrhea and have not went at all since last week. I've tried bowel softeners, prune juice, and other laxatives just a few days ago and nothing has happened. I was wondering if maybe I abused the laxatives and that's why I haven't went or something else is happening.

Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query in details .

* This is in relation with intestine infection , not related to blood donation .

* The use of stool softeners , laxatives are strictly prohibited when you
have diarrhea ; on the reverse it makes you more suffer .

* Guidelines for better outcome

Consume plenty of liquids .
Prefer soft , light , bland , vegan diet .
Avoid all types of oily , spicy , non veg , hot beverages , junk foods , dairy fat .

Intake of PPI ( as omeprazole ) , antibiotics ( with metronidazole on pack )
pro biotics ( with lacto bacillus ) help to give faster recovery .

Hope this will help to clear your doubt .
Wishing you fine recovery .

Always welcome for any further assistance anytime .
Regards .
