Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

I have semi-solid stools for half a year now. How it developed: Two years ago, total indigestion of any fresh vegetables arrived, main problem: diarrhea and a lot of gases. Doctor prescribed me an intestinal antibiotic nifuroxazine. I took it for 7 days , all became normal immediately and continued normal for 1.5 years. Than again arrived same, much weaker. Doctor nominated same antibiotic. I took it again for 7 days, and Lacteol in parallel, to restore a normal flora. This time, diarrhea was removed fast, but semi-solid stools continues for 6 months, not removed by taking Lacteol during one week. Doctor said only: do not eat vegetables at all. I d appreciate your advice Thank you, Valentin Krinski, YYYY@YYYY

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
1) recurrent symptom of diarrhea and bloating (gases) after eating particular food indicate possibility of irritable bowel syndrome
2) In this situation, bowel movement increase and therefore digestion would not be proper and so small intestine would not be able to absorb all nutrients from food.
3) Reason for this is unknown but intestinal infection with some specific bacteria, allergy to particular food, inflammation (redness and swelling) of wall of intestine are some factors
4) Repeated appearance of these symptoms require further evaluation to find out cause rather than just treating symptoms and you might go ahead with colonoscopy, stool routine and culture report
5) Further treatment can be decided based on final diagnosis but till that time yes, if symptoms is troublesome then you should continue medications to relieve from symptoms
