I have painful gas in my lower left side. My abdomen is not swollen. I am not sure what is causing this discomfort. I have diverticulitis and I am due for another colonoscopy very soon, I had an ovarian cyst when I was younger. I am 54 years old and I no longer menstruate. My siblings had pre cancerous polips removed years ago. I know colon cancer may not have symptoms until it is too late. I do not have blood in my stool nor am I constipated. the painful gas feels better after I move my bowel. I do not have diarrhea, a fever, nausea, nor am I vomiting. I am currently looking for a primary who will, I hope, tell me to change my diet and the pain will go away. I currently eat a healthy diet, however, my diverticulitis bothers me especially when I eat anything with seeds in it. I have become a hypochondriac researching symptoms of diseases that I think I may have. My Obama care insurance kicks in June 1, 2016. Do these symptoms sound like diverticulosis or pelvic inflammatory disease to you?
