Suggest Treatment For Epilepsy Before Planning For Kid

i am 27years and planning for a kid
iam suffering from epilepsy from 7 years
and taking levera and vinlep
tell me what should i do
we stay in thane

What do i need to do to plan for a kid, please suggest me a good gyanecologist doctor in thane or mumbai who handles epilepsy patients

First and foremost, please be assured that You can have a healthy child even if you have epilepsy

Of the two drugs you take , as per present knowledge
Levetiracetam can be taken during pregnancy
Oxcarbazine is contraindicated during pregnancy. So you have to change that to a drug which is permitted during pregnancy

Your Neurologist will be able to modify the doses and drugs for you

some anti epileptic medications have teratogenic effects and thus not safe during pregnancy. in ur case vinlep is not safe. levera can be continued. instead of vinlep , tab lamotrigene will be better alternative.
