Suggest Treatment For Fever During Pregnancy

Hi, i am 4 months pregnant and past 6 days running a fever which starts with 99 and reaches 101/102. My blood reports etc are fine and no indication of malaria. My Gyn has prescribed Calpol which i can take only max three during a day. She has asked me to have lots of liquid and Electrol etc. to keep myself hydrated. She feels that there is nothing to worry. I just want a second opinion. Can anybody help?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Fever during pregnancy can be due to viral., bacterial or any parasite infection like malaria. If your investigations for infections are normal, then it may be a viral infection which will resolve in 3-5 days. Your doctor is correct in advising you tab paracetamol( calpol) and keeping yourself well hydrated.
I would suggest you to also take adequate rest as this will help in resolving the infection.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
