Hello Doctor, My 3 years 6 months old daughter s body temperature has raised to 101 degrees now. It was 100 degrees an hour before. I have these syrups ( Relent, Nutrolin-B, Bestozyme and Emeset). Not sure which one I have to use. Please advise me. Thanks, Sudheer
Relent is a mucolytic and mucokinetic agent and it is used in the treatment of cold and running nose. Nutrolin - B is a lacto bacillus supplement usually given to babies on antibiotics to prevent loose motions. Bestozyme is used in the treatment of constipation, indigestion, pain and inflammaton and Emeset is used for prevention of nausea and vomiting. Fever in children should be treated with syrup Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen. Medication should be continued over atleast 24 hours or the fever will usually return. In case of persisting fever of more than 24 hours, kindly consult the Paediatrition.
