Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your son has ITP. It is immuno thrombocytopenic purpura. In ITP there is immune mediated destruction of platelets. So platelet count is decreased and leads to bleeding and rashes. Main treatment is immunosuppressive drugs. Steroid is the drug of choice for ITP. It will suppress the immunity and prevent the destruction of platelets. So take steroid treatment according to your doctor's advice.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
