my sister aged 11 has been diagnised with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura.
Her reports indicate mild abnormalities of erythrocytes.
Mild indication of mild anico poikilocytosis, microcytic hypocromic with a few elyptocites and target sites.
Her platelet count is 31000.

Better you can do a bone marrow examination and you have to rule out secondary causes like leukaemia, SLE etc and can do an hb electrophoresis to rule out thallasemia, and you have to treat the child with short term steroids with gradual tapering and another option Is immunoglobulin if anti -D rh positive, frequent monitoring of platelet count :)
