Suggest Treatment For Itchiness On Shins ?

My skin rash is on my shins where the skin is very thin and it starts to itch, so I start rub and scratch and rub the itch.
The very cold and icy weather brought this on. Temp. of 3 degrees to the mid 20's brought this on. Those temp. lasted for over a month. I have no problem in spring, summer or fall, only in the winter when the temp. is extremely cold.
Thank you.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern

I would keep a possibility of Xerosis.

In my practice i see a lot of patients of Xerosis in dry and cold weather in winters.

The goal is to keep the skin moisturized. Using a good moisturizer twice daily (in the morning soon after bath so as to lock the moisture).

Use either a glycerine based soap Or avoid it altogether

An oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine once daily will help to control the itch.

take care
regards
