Suggest Treatment For Meniscus Tear

Hi, I was told by a doctor that I had a small tear in my meniscus and I had to sit out for 6 weeks without sport. Today marks 5 weeks without any physical sport and I can feel my knee is getting stronger but it s as strong as my other knee. How do I know if my meniscus has healed fully?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case. I can assure you that meniscus tear are never heals specially if they occur following trauma. Most of the time they need to be trimmed so that tear does not progress.
I would recommend you following.
1.get mRi of the knee joint.
2.meet doctor who has expertise in sports injury. You can share your MRI report with me also.
3. Avoid squatting, sitting cross leg and stairs climbing.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other follow up questions.
thanks
